In today’s news, European Union provides funding for humanitarian assistance to Colombia after devastating August earthquake. World’s mangrove forests show encouraging rebound, financial aid program created for vulnerable youth in Zimbabwe to attend school, capital punishment formally abolished in Lebanon, former Royal Marine saves three children from rough seas in United Kingdom, vegan restaurant in Southern California, USA, brings affordable, healthy meals to university students, and nightly seashore vigil in Philippine village protects sea turtle-people.

A little fix here and a little fix there keeps the home running smoothly. I have a kitchen maintenance tip for you. If your kitchen sink has a garbage disposal, it may become the source of an unpleasant odor. One simple fix is to use ice cubes and salt to help scrub away food particles and residue from the disposal blades. Just put a handful of ice cubes into the garbage disposal and pour in ¼ cup of coarse salt. Then turn on the cold water and run the disposal for 10 to 15 seconds. The ice and salt help get rid of the accumulation on the disposal blades, while the cold water helps flush out food particles and reduce lingering odors.

Let’s wear our flip flops and take a leisurely walk on the sunny giggle beach with the joke of the day, called “A Very Popular Church.”

Two pastors were chatting after Sunday service.

“You know what they say: ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.’”

“Well, judging by our attendance, this congregation must absolutely adore us.”

?!

And now we have a heartline in French, with multiple-language subtitles, from D.D.A in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo
