With a deep affinity for the United States, Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has visited the country on numerous occasions, offering wisdom, hope, and humanitarian aid in times of need. In November 1993, following Her support for the victims of the Los Angeles fires, Master was invited to various events and media interviews across the U.S. This series presents highlights from those meaningful activities — primarily centered in Houston, Texas. Before flying to Texas, Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) was invited to attend the Veterans Day Memorial Service in Riverside, California, where She delivered a heartfelt speech expressing gratitude to the veterans who sacrificed to protect the vulnerable and uphold freedom. She also pledged a personal donation of US$200,000 to support veterans and their families, while praying for a peaceful future where such heroism is devoted to rebuilding our world.
