Here’s a kitchen cleaning tip for you today. Wooden items such as cutting boards, salad bowls and spoons should be hand-washed rather than placed in the dishwasher or immersed in a sink filled with water because this can cause them to crack and/or warp. To clean wooden utensils, remove any adhered bits of food with a bench scraper or metal spatula. If you encounter stubborn stains, you can make a slurry consisting of baking soda and water and lightly rub it onto the board with a scourer-pad. Carefully scrub the board with hot, soapy water. Wash both sides of the board even if you only used one side to keep it from drying unevenly since this can lead to warping of the board. Dry it thoroughly and allow it to continue to dry in an upright position to keep any residual water from pooling. Please note it should be completely dry prior to storing otherwise mildew can develop. Store the board in an upright position and routinely oil it to keep it hygienic, safe, and long-lasting.

Brace yourself: The following joke may cause sudden bursts of laughter. Here’s today’s chuckle, titled “Accounting for Appearance.”

Matteo was prepping for a high-stakes client pitch and felt his thinning hair was undermining his confidence. So, he bought a toupee. Later, while reviewing his taxes with his accountant, Matteo asked:

“Do you think I can write off my wig as a business expense?”

The accountant didn’t flinch.

“Sure! We’ll just list it under ‘overhead.’”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Aulacese (Vietnamese), with multiple-language subtitles, from Trần Đinh in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam
