Sharing Perspectives on Rescue of Timmy or Hope, Humpback Whale-person, Who Has Now Passed on: Let’s Hope That Coordinated Rescue Efforts Reminded Them of Sanctity of Every Life, Including Those of Intensively Raised Animal-people

Beloved Master, In recent days, many people here in Germany have been deeply moved by the fate of a humpback whale-person named Timmy or Hope. But it is not only the German public and the media who have followed the whale-person stranding on the German Baltic Sea coast with concern, hope, and great sympathy; people all over the world have done so as well. Although experts from animal-people welfare organizations gave him little chance of survival, a dedicated private initiative ultimately succeeded in guiding the humpback whale-person onto a barge, which is to tow him toward his home. Timmy may not yet be in his true habitat, the Atlantic Ocean, but at least he is back in the open sea.

A whale-people expert commented that it is simply incredible that the whale-person is now swimming in the North Sea again and “that this whale is clearly setting new standards for everyone and is a zoological exception.” Despite criticism of how the operation was carried out, there is joy and relief over Timmy or Hope’s release into the open sea.

“If there is one message that emerges from this unprecedented action for the whale, it is that it contributes to a shift in public consciousness and leads to a change in behavior among every individual, toward the protection of the oceans and their inhabitants; that each person reflects on their fish consumption and changes it, because every year, around 300,000 whales and dolphins still die in fishing nets worldwide, many thousands of them in Europe as well.”

Yet Timmy or Hope’s fate draws attention not only to the fishing industry, whose practices destroy marine habitats, but also to industrial animal-people raising — so-called “animal-people livestock” such as calves, turkey-, pig-, and cow-people — and to the boundless suffering caused by animal-people transport. For many, Timmy has become a symbol of compassion and of the connection between humans and animal-people. Thanks to all those who dedicated themselves to the rescue operation with so much love and devotion.

But our greatest thanks go to Timmy or Hope himself, the gentle giant who agreed to take part in this initiative, and to his nature, as whale-people possess a “Love Quality (LQ) of 300%,” as You, Beloved Master, already mentioned at a conference in Taichung in 2009. Animal-person communicators have also reported on this power of love. Because of this unconditional love, whale-people have been revered in many cultures since ancient times out of gratitude for rescuing countless people from distress at sea.
