His Excellency Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland, recently signed a historic measure to phase out animal-folk fur factories in his country, thus shutting down Europe’s largest remaining production region for this terrible industry. Twenty-three European countries already have fur bans in place and the European Union (EU) is contemplating a total ban. With the new legislation, Poland will save the lives of some 3.4 million animal-residents including mink-, fox-, and chinchilla-individuals. The law places an immediate halt on establishing new fur factories with an eight-year period to phase out existing operations, while supporting farm workers in finding new jobs. The law was praised by animal-people advocates and President Nawrocki, who says, “This is a decision that Poles have awaited for many years. A decision that reflects our compassion, our mature civilization, and our respect for all living creatures.” Up to date, Poland is a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Generosity and Compassion. Many thanks, Poland, for your noble action. May all countries soon enact similar laws, in Celestial governance.
