Poem Celebrating the Birth of the Gracious Master

Dear Most Compassionate Tim Qo Tu! To be Your disciple is an immense Blessing. I always keep Your teachings in my heart and offer my deepest gratitude. I have often felt Your wondrous protection, yet there is one experience I will forever cherish. During a journey, as our coach was descending a slope, the brakes suddenly failed. The vehicle sped uncontrollably along a perilous road, with deep ravines on both sides, and panic spread among the passengers. Just moments before, while I was meditating on the Quan Yin, I saw Master appear with an indescribably powerful Force. When the incident occurred, I remained calm and focused all my mind in prayer. Miraculously, the vehicle gradually came to a safe stop. I understood that it was Master’s Grace and protection. That experience strengthened both my faith and my gratitude. I vow to diligently continue my spiritual practice.

On the occasion of Your Blessed Birthday, I respectfully offer this poem as a fragrant incense of the heart:

CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF THE GRACIOUS MASTER

You came and dispelled the veils of darkest night,

So all beings may bathe in boundless Grace;

With loving care, You taught the wondrous Dharma,

Guiding souls beyond delusion’s endless maze.

You came and bestowed the sacred Words of Wisdom,

Lighting the inner lamp to illumine the path of the soul;

In gentle tones, You taught both life and the Way,

Quietly imparting the essence of the Wordless Dharma.

You came and taught us mastery of the self,

Breaking the shrouds woven by ignorance;

Revealing our true nature from within,

A new dawn rises bright in consciousness.

You came, and countless flowers burst in bloom,

Heaven and Earth overflow with radiant Light;

Everywhere resounds the song of joy,

From this day on, all sorrow fades away.

You came and stilled the storms of karmic trials,

Burying suffering deep in the delusion’s abyss;

Guiding beings with gentle, mindful steps homeward,

The Quan Yin meditation opens the ultimate path.

You came and granted us renewed strength,

Leading us beyond attachment and illusion;

Letting go, we walk the path returning Home,

Tears of joy flow in heartfelt awe.

You came and lifted lives beyond all tribulations,

Spreading Blessings throughout the human world;

Today, the whole world rejoices in delight,

Celebrating Your birth – spring sings at every door.

With deepest gratitude to the Beloved Master,

I wish You everlasting peace and well-being;

May the Lamp of Wisdom shine throughout all realms,

Guiding humanity to the shore of awakening.
