Greening the heart or the essence of education means examining what we teach, how we teach, and where we teach to ensure that we’re helping our students become protectors of the Earth and all the living beings on it. We can see that the situation is dire. It is desperate and dangerous already for hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Many species have become extinct. So, we have some urgent changes to make. Educators around the world can no longer teach as though catastrophic events are not happening.
